Mining Null Sec Ice... inefficiently!
Yucca and crew have been busy this week. Yesterday did 2 billion ISK in contracts, and this morning woke up to 1.16 billion in corporation buy back. Big news is I am a Rorqual pilot, bad news have yet to take it mining as I want to ensure I am doing it right under mentorship as my alliance has requirements.
So after chewing an enormous, small and colossal belt remnants I took a break to mine some ice. Currently doing it inefficiently to standard practices as I don't have my Rorqual on grid to compress and mine itself. What I am using is Porpoise for mining boosts and three Mackinaw mining exhumers and three Retriever mining barges. When the ships fill up warp to station dump off, return to grid, reconnect to mining drone and back to work. One Retriever and the Porpoise is running cover with combat drones for NPC drone ships.
Still farmed through three to four ice bergs last night and will work more of the belt today. Sometimes it is nice to take a break from ore anomaly mining to see the beautiful graphics the Null Security ice belts provide. This is the third or fourth time I have mined the ice belts in my system. The ice down here has way more Strontium Clathrates than regular ice does, as well as more Liquid Ozone.
Once my ships drop enough ice at the station I will bring the Rorqual out, compress the ice and then repark it back in the station. At some point through I will have the rorqual on grid doing its job of boosting my mining production and providing in space compression. But I want to do it safely, 8.8+ billion ISK ship is an expensive item, although I am on tract to have made more than 4-5 billion in last 3 days... hmmmm....
Stay safe, and fly/mine Dangerously.
